Featured Artists : Hans Van Moerkerken (Dutch)
Hans Van Moerkerken Hans van Moerkerken was born and raised in Holland. After competing school he studied for many years the techniques of the 17th Century artists such as Rembrandt and Vermeer. During his learning years van Moerkerken earned his living by art restoration. He most often paints in the style of the Old Masters and in fact his work is frequently mistaken as that of one of the 19th Century Artists. Living on the River Vecht in Holland, Hans finds inspiration in his surroundings just as the famous Haague School of painting did in previous generations. His first exposition was held in Arnhem in 1983 and from that success he has held many expositions in Europe and the United States. Hans van Moerkerken's artwork can be seen in private and public collections in Europe and the United States. Gallery 1000 exclusively represents Hans Van Moerkerken in California.
