Member: Oil Painters of America
Among art critics and collectors, there is no doubt Russia has produced many of the world's great artists.
Nina Mikhailenko was born in St. Petersburg in 1946 to a family of intelligentsia. She has been an eyewitness to the economic, social and political changes throughout Europe. Her work is a reflection of this knowledge. She paints with a broad degree of awareness and sensitivity. As a student of the well-known Russian artist Sergei Bongart, Nina has been compared to Korovin, a 19th Century master in oils who painted with the same strong, vibrant colors and vigorous style. Her added accomplisments in ballet and classical music have increased her sensitivity to visual art. She loves to paint from life on location, and travels worldwide to experience the joy and beauty of life and extend her knowledge of humanity.
Nina Mikhailenko's masterpieces can be seen in private collections in the USA, Canada, France, Israel, Holland, Norway, Italy, Argentina, Germany and Switzerland.
Gallery 1000 exclusively represents Nina Mikhailenko in California.
