Vitold Smukrovich
A third generation of artistic tradition
Born in St. Petersburg, Russia, this talented artist was surrounded by an artistic atmosphere from his earliest days. His first memories are of his father, Peter, painting beautiful works - a tradition handed down from his grandfather. With such a family background, there was never a question that Vitold would also devote his life to the creation of beauty.
At the age of 12, Vitold started formal training in a specialized school for tine arts - a branch of the Russian Academy of Fine Arts. He continued his education at this academy under the tutelage of professor Reikhert. Vitold was enamored with the French Impressionist painters and was strongly influenced by Klimt and Monet. In 1994 he graduated from I.E. Repin Institute for Painting, Sculptures and Architecture and was accepted into the Russian Artists Union in 1995.
Vitold has exhibited his works outside of Russia and is popular with European collectors. He is one of St. Petersburg's finest "novaya classica" artists.
